Jon obtained his G13 National Residential Building Contractor license in 2023. This licensing requirement allows for Black Dog Building Company to legally build single family homes, duplexes and townhouses. We carry general liability and workman’s compensation insurance that goes beyond the Colorado minimum requirements and abide by all local and national regulations.

In our initial meeting, we will discuss ideas for your project, budget, products, scope of work and timelines.
Next, I will provide a free estimate in 2-7 business days depending on the size of the project.
Together we work to choose products, scope and settle on a price. We sign contracts, get you a start date and line up the necessary steps to start the build process (permits, utilities locating, product ordering, subcontractor scheduling)
For most large projects the payment schedule looks like: 40% deposit, 40% after an agreed upon milestone (all rough in framing, plumbing and electrical passed inspection) and the remaining 20% payment comes due once the project is complete (passes final inspection, touch ups complete and we are all happy with the job)

Pricing
Jobs are estimated and billed according to the labor hours needed to complete a project. The rate is $75 - $150 an hour depending on the employees needed to complete the task. We charge a 14% Markup on products. Costs are tracked in real time and always available to the customer. No guessing at what you pay for
Services
We specialize in start to finish projects, taking on most all aspects of a job ourselves. We subcontract out Engineering, Drafting, Electrical, Plumbing, Concrete, Landscaping and some specialty/ larger job aspects. We have never left a job incomplete and are not satisfied until you are.
